Such an exciting title. My hair appointment has been moved to July 1st. I'm very excited! :) We have Anna's twin bed set up. She likes to jump on it! haha But it's very cute and I'm happy we have it. We'll have to get a better mattress in the future. The one we have is crappy. Oh well. It's good for now. What else? Nothing much else. Anna is her adorable, crazy self. And I love her! :) But you already knew that!
Included: A picture of Paul and Anna from last summer. So cute! :)

New Friends (?)

This is Matthew. He's also 2 1/2 years old and he lives just a few apartments over. He didn't seem as wild as Anna is (i.e. climbing, digging in dirt, etc... he didn't even get in the pool!) So I think Anna didn't quite know what to think of him! LOL!

Kids breastfed longer more likely to be skinny
Kids who get breastfed longer as infants and who have a high-quality weaning diet have a lower body mass index at age 4 than kids not breastfed as long or who are weaned with a lower-quality diet.
That’s the conclusion of researchers from the University of Southampton, who looked at the circumstances of weaning in more than 500 children and looked at their bones for changes in body composition. Kids who were breastfed longer had lower fat mass compared to other kids, independent of their height.
Researchers said length of time breastfeeding wasn’t the only important issue, though: kids who got a better diet when weaned, such as more fruits, vegetables and foods prepared at home, also had a lower body mass at age 4.

Anna just barked (she likes to pretend she's a dog) then licked--MY ARMPIT! Then said, "Ew, yucky armpit!!!" I agree. WHOLEHEARTEDLY!

Yay for Exercise
I actually exercised today... went on a walk/jog and it felt really good. But jeez exercise sure does exhaust me! That's one thing I hate about it. It drains me! Maybe exercising more regularly will remedy that.

Amazing Blog
I came across the blog of Faith Hope. She was born with anencephaly, which basically means she was born without a brain. They told her mom, Myah, that she would live for only seconds after she was born and gave her a very bleak outlook. I mean, she didn't even have a brain. Why expect life? When Faith was born, she thrived! She cooed, she moved, she breathed, she ate. She LIVED! She lived for thirteen and a half weeks and didn't die from anencephaly, but from a stomach ulcer. Wow. I just love it when I read about miracles! :) You can read about Faith Hope HERE.

Bows
Yesterday I bought 25 alligator clips from EBay for just over 2.00. I'm excited to make bows for Anna. I've wanted to for a long time. They just look like so much fun to make! Now all I have to do is find ribbon for an affordable price, hot glue, and thread. Shouldn't be too hard, right? ;)

Woo Hoooooooooooooooo! :D
I was looking on Craig's List and came across an advertisement in the Free section for a salon that is doing free hair cuts and dye-jobs are only $20 for a girl who is training. I replied and now I have a PROFESSIONAL hair appointment Next Wednesday June 10th 11:45 AM. I'm so excited. I've never had my hair done professionally before like this (obviously this discounts small-town hair cut places and Great Clips!) I'm very excited!!!

Today...
Today I created my own face mask. I've given up on store-bought face washes and such. They always make me break out. Even hypoallergenic face masks/face washes/face scrubs/etc. I've discovered that the main ingredients are avocado, honey, some sort of oil (almond oil, olive oil, etc.), egg whites, and oatmeal. So it really isn't too complicated. I just have to find out which ones work for me. I may have to buy some almond oil or other essential oil, but it isn't necessary since I have olive oil here at home. :) I'm excited to start experimenting. :)
We went to the mall today. It was great. Usually we drive around forever trying to find a spot, but we found one immediately (several, actually) right next to the entrance. We were confused at first. It's never that empty. It must have been the day of the week and the time of the day or something. But it was so nice! We stayed for three and a half hours. We didn't even notice time passing like it did.
Tomorrow I want to take pictures of Anna outside. I keep saying that, but it's been so hot! Maybe I should try it in the evening when it's cooler.
