Welcome to the Party!

On a much, much, MUCH brighter note, there is a thing going on called a Blog Party hosted by 5 Minutes for Mom
Call me a Noob, but... well, I am a noob. I really am not too sure what's going on and with a one year old running me ragged, I just don't have much time to read everything on the rules page, but if you want to join the fun, just click here and read the rules. (well, I got the jist... I'm such a slacker!) In the mean time, I will sneak back here and read the rules off and on. I know there are tons of giveaways to be given, such as a Mod Mum Sling, and a great giveaway from Ju Ju Beane Boutique which is giving away a wall canvas and carries other great things... like clothes... (I'm crazy about baby clothes!!! Good thing I'm broke or I'd go... well, broke.) and tons of other great giveaways to be found on this post here. You can also get your blog noticed!
So here I am... the odd man out. I hope I can catch up! Welcome to my site, party goers and thanks for the chance to have a little fun! Ultimate Blog Party 2008

OK... I've found out that I need a list (I'm posting as I read the rules... smart, huh? Just like college all over again LOL!) So here are my list of my top favorite giveaways!!! Yay!!!!

1. Number 54, I think I would die if I won this-- a 60 dollar gift certificate to Mikarose! The last time I wore a dress was to my wedding and baby, I need to wear another!!! This was gifted by Liza from Liza's Eyeview.

2. Number 34, Custom Tutu from Live Love Dance Boutique. I'm all about the little baby tutus and have always wanted photos of Anna in nothing but a Tutu! Too Too cute! :)

3. Number 37, a Moby Wrap gifted by From Dates to Diapers. I've always wanted to try a Moby Wrap and would love one for our next baby! :)

4. Number 80, I also had to mention the cutest little Scripture Doll that was gifted by Live, Laugh, Blog. It's absolutely adorable and would make a great Easter gift!

5. Number 67. And finally, a blog makeover by Shauna at See My Designs. This would be good old fashioned fun! :) I'm curious as to what she would do to my blog!

6. Number 117, Somehow I missed the 25 dollar gift certificate to Target! How dare I? I am a huge Target fanatic. This is just... just... unthinkable! Gifted by Mommy Bytes.

7. Number 15, a 50 dollar gift certificate to Kids Magical Wonder Boutique! Like I said, I am crazy about kids clothing!

8. Number 47. These flaming baby legs are so stinking adorable! I'm hoping for a baby boy next, so we'll see how that goes in a few years. Gifted by Fire Mom.

9. Number 101. Women's Devotional Bible which is just gorgeous! I love the green cover, but most of all I love that it is a Devotional Bible. I've never had one before and I think it would really hope to cement my new commitment to God to keep up on my reading and prayer. Gifted by Jubilee on Earth.

10. Number 50. 12 Beautiful classic boutique bows! I am such a hair clip and bow nut! I would love this set for my daughter and she will wear them every day (once she gets real hair in, that is!) Honestly! Gifted by Mommymandy.com

I would be happy to win anything really if any of these prizes have been taken. I also have my eye on the two nursing covers. They will get plenty of use since I intend on nursing my future children as well. Thanks! :)

Edit #4-- LOL... thought I ought to introduce myself. My name is Sarah. I am a Christian who loves Jesus Christ. I'm a stay at home mommy to my little fifteen month old daughter, Anna, our only child. I am still breastfeeding with a goal of two years... if we make it.... she has weaned herself down to 3 (average) nursings per day. I am a college grad and want to go back for an Education degree some day. I can't wait for baby number two. I really love to write... therefore, the blog world is a great one to be in, but not live in. I'll try to blog without becoming an addict.
My husband Paul, my daughter, and me at the park this last weekend.

Thanks for stopping by my site. I would love to share more about adoption with you - it is SUCH a gift from God!!! Back in the beginning of my blog (last June-ish) is when our journey with Sophie began, so her whole story is on there - I went to Dr. appointments with birth mom and was even at her birth. Hattie is another story - and a loooooonnnnggg one - that I keep meaning to write and post. It is filled with the finerprints of God from beginning to end. She came to us as a foster child at 9 mos and has been Blessing us ever since!!
I will post the story soon - keep checkin back!
LOVE your site by the way!!!!! And I am with you - I would love a bloggy makeover!

Thanks for stopping by! Rebecca and Annabelle are beautiful names but not their real ones. I keep debating whether or not to start using their names. Originally I didn't because I didn't want people I knew in real life to find my blog. They've found me anyway so I'm starting to think it doesn't matter as much. Perhaps I'll make that a "party favor" this week...

Good for you with the long term breastfeeding! I was only able to direct breast feed R who was bigger at birth so I ended up pumping for A. Which led to pumping full time for both of them until I weaned from the pump at 15 months. I wish I had kept going to two years if only because they got sick constantly once I weaned!

I was looking at some of your daughter's pics and she's so cute! Can't wait to read more of your adventures.

Nice to meet you!
My first name is Sarah, but everyone calls me Janel which is my middle name. My grandmother was Sarah and if I ever have another little girl, I will name her Sarah - love the name.

Enjoyed reading your blog.
I am sorry for the loss of your brother. I think what you wrote is beautiful. Blessings to your family.

Hi again. I left a comment on the post about your brother.

Good luck with the nursing. I found (with both of mine) that they were ready to give it up at a year... I wasn't, though!

I think that's the most special part of mommyhood, looking at your baby while s/he's nursing. I cherished that, and look forward to more!

Nice to meet you!

We love babies at our house, but I am on the Grandma side of this now.I get to buy the baby clothes often! Your name kind of gave you away. My daughter was nursing for 10 of the last twelve years!
I really like your blog and with a one year old I am surprised at how much you accomplished on such short notice!

I have a little girl only a few months older than yours! Isn't this age great? We're still breastfeeding too, although some days we don't go at all, and others it seems like we're there every hour! Mostly she's a morning and night type of gal.

Isn't this blog party great? I'm having so much fun and finding so many great blogs I never would have seen otherwise. If you want to come party at my place, you can find me here!

You're little girl is sweet. I nursed all 3 of mine, a little longer with each one, but couldn't seem to make it past the 16 month mark!

Also, I'm sorry to hear about what happened to your brother in your previous post. That has got to be a struggle for you. I pray that you are surrounded by peace and comfort and "cast your cares upon Jesus"!

Blessings!

Thanks for visiting my blog. I checked out yours and you have a beautiful family. I am so sorry to hear of your bother. I also had a family member decide to leave us this past year. It is so very hard to deal with. I only hope that they are in a better place and that the pain that drove them to their decision has left them. Take care.

Enjoy the party and don't forget to visit now and again.

Okay, see I didn't read the instructions either. WHOOPS! Oh well... maybe they'll forgive me since this was my first year. O:-)

I also scrolled down and read about the loss of your brother. I'm SO SORRY for you and your family. Bless his heart... it's so sad to think of what he must've been feeling. I can't identify with losing a sibling, but we lost our 11 year old son to cancer so I can identify with your loss. Please know I'm here to talk if you need me.

It was SO NICE to meet you!
Love,
Tonya

Thanks for stopping by my blog with your party hopping! :)

your family is gorgeous! And best of luck with your bf goal! What a fabulous goal to have! You've already made it super far! (Says the woman who didn't nurse a day with either yet whole heartedly supports extended nursing. I'm a strange nut. lol. Though seriously? When did anything past, say, 6 months start counting as 'extended' and past a year 'crazy'??!! Babies can survive on BF alone for 2 years no problems! So what's the big deal? Yeah. This is one of those 'things' that gets my brain tangled up. And I'm writing too much. Sum up statement: Hi. nice to 'meet' you. Way to go nursing. Hope you meet your goal. The end. lol.)

I think nursing is great and still get teary eyed when I think about weaning my son earlier than my daughter. You go girl!! NURSE, NURSE, NURSE!!! :D Talk to you soon!

What a cute little family you have!

I nursed my first son until he was 9 months old, when he decided he was done. I was heartbroken :-(. However, second son came around and made up for it. I nursed him until he was 19 months when he weaned himself. I was still heartbroken...LOL. My husband only wants two kids and I wanted to hold onto that as long as I could.

Stop by my blog if you get a chance. I'm having a little giveaway on my party post!

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for visiting my blog! You have a great looking familiy - your daughter is adorable!

GREAT JOB on the nursing! I nursed my daughter for 19 months and am so happy I could provide that for her. She's 2 1/2 now... I admit that I get nostalgic over nursing every once in a while, lol. Such sweet and innocent times! :)

Good luck in reaching your 2 year goal! :)
